Thanksgiving

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his [a] ;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100

I love the Thanksgiving holiday. It is for sure one of my favorite holidays, if not my favorite. Thanksgiving is one holiday where the true meaning is still visable in many households. True it may be a very small portion of the day at the beginning or end of the meal but I don't think their is a holiday celebrated in the U.S. that has kept its original integrity better than this wonderful day. So sit back, relax, eat some food, watch some Lions! and most importantly remember everything we have to be thankful for this year!

Less Talk, More Music

Brad Paisley is one of the more popular country music stars today, he is at the same time very willing to be different. For example, it used to be tradition to include a gospel song on country music albums, that tradition is all but dead, but Paisley still follows this tradition. This is not risky but his most recent album, released this week is certainly a risk; an almost all instrument CD. The CD is entitled "Play" and it is available for just under $15 (under $10 if you buy online at target). I have listened to the album and I must say it is good and I recommend it.

Basketball Country

Since I am in Basketball country I thought it would be a good idea to talk a little about basketball. Now the clear number 1 for Division 1 is North Carolina, even without Hansborough for a couple weeks they are a great team that better win it all in March. But how about Division 2? No Michigan Tech is not number 1. They have yet to appear in the top 25 D2 rankings but don't worry they'll make it. They are already picked second in the GLIAC and, I'm sure they will end up number 1 when it actually matters. Lets all enjoy watching some B-Ball this year, but first its still football season and my National Champion pick is number 1, undefeated, and facing a very difficult test against Texas Tech. That game should be good!

Michigan Tech Picked Number 2 in GLIAC!
