Hope. This is a word that is used often, sometimes to often, from presidential campaigns to movies. While this isn't a bad thing, I do think the overuse takes the incredible meaning and purpose out of this word. Just let it sink in and think about hope and where your's is. Maybe Psalm 33 will help:
1 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
2 Praise the LORD with the harp;
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.
4 For the word of the LORD is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.
5 The LORD loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love.
6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars [a] ;
he puts the deep into storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the LORD;
let all the people of the world revere him.
9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
10 The LORD foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 From heaven the LORD looks down
and sees all mankind;
14 from his dwelling place he watches
all who live on earth-
15 he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.
16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
even as we put our hope in you.

Kids Love 2 Ride
Kids Love 2 Ride
It is now illegal to sell kids bikes to kids under 12. Why? The government is afraid the kids will lick parts that contain lead.
What else: You can buy adult bikes for kids....................
The good news: Malcolm Smith Motorsports out of Riverside California will still sell kids bikes to kids because the law is ridiculous. Click the link to watch a 6 minute video made by Malcolm Smith about the law and his protest.

A Poem In honor of Grandma Rose
Written by my cousin Sarah Paasman-Snyder:
Over in the Netherlands was a beautiful Rose
God had a plan for her and that is the one she chose.
With hardships of war and trials she’ll never forget
One great thing came out of it, she and Clarence met.
He left her with a watch and promise from his heart
He’d come back to her and they’d have a fresh start.
Come back to her he did and they fell more and more in love
They started a family with blessings from above.
His name is John, their first-born son
He was just the start of their family to come.
They wanted another child and along came Gerri
Their first baby girl, now this was becoming a family.
Then there was Pete, their third in line
Changes were happening and after him was the time.
They moved to America for the next chapter in life
God had more plans for them and this felt just right.
They settled on the farm in memorable Forest Grove
All the memories made there, everyone will hold.
With three kids now, they wanted some more
That’s when Willa came along and became child number four.
Another girl was a blessing, truly
God gave them even more when he blessed them with Shirley.
Their older kids were now starting families of their own
But they weren’t quite done and that’s when Rex was born.
What started as two people on the other side of the world
Has become this wonderful family, The Paasmans….
Starting with Clarence and Rose, John, Gerri, Pete, Willa, Shirley, Rex, all their spouses, the grandkids, and the great grandkids there will be.
That, is the Paasman Family.
What started with a precious Rose
Is now a family God chose.
