ITS THE SUPERBOWL!!! (Actually the Pre-race Show)

This week Sunday 1st is a big day in American sports when the top two teams from the NFL get together and play for the championship in what everybody knows is the Daytona 500 pre-race show....Oh sorry....Superbowl. I must start a tradition and select the winner of this game. If you remember I selected #1 Florida to play #2 Texas in the NCAA championship game. Unfortunately Oklahoma was #1, Florida was #2, Texas was #3 and Florida won. Oh well at least one of my selected teams won and hey, I was right about #2 winning as well.

But this time I will try again and hope for more accurate results:

Pittsburg as a great defence as always with an offence that is average at best. Big Ben will be very tough to bring down, as he always is, and I predict Santonio Holmes will have a great day (Willie Parker too). All and all the steelers will score about 28 points in this game.

Now The Ariz.....really....wow....The Arizona Cardinals.

This team seemed to come out of nowhere to win a, lets face it, poor division, but they didn't have to beat these teams in the playoffs. They had to beat the Philadelphia Eagles and the Carolina Panthers, both very good teams. In order for the Cards to win Warner and Fitzgerald have to have a great day. Its a good thing Warner has the arm and Fitzgerald has the talent because these two could pick any defence apart. That said a lot more as to happen for a Cardinal win. Most notably the defence. Linebacker Adrian Wilson is a great addition to this team and has shown an ability to lead this team and a defence that forces a lot of turnovers, and they will need a couple in the superbowl to win. While this defence hasn't shown the same shut down abilities that the steelers show, they can and do come through when needed and, in the playoffs, have given their offence the opportunity to score more points than the other one. That in the end is the most important thing. The Cardinals will score 31 points on a last minute field goal to secure a superbowl win!

Arizona 31 Pittsburg 28

Little known fact

Everyone knows the obvious about Barack Obama. He is the first African-American president but he is also the first elected president from the north since JFK....seriously:

John F. Kennedy - Massachusetts

Lyndon Johnson - Texas

Richard Nixon - California

Gerald Ford - MICHIGAN - But not elected

Jimmy Carter - Georgia

Ronald Reagon - California

George H.W. Bush - Texas

Bill Clinton - Arkansas

George W. Bush - Texas

Barack Obama - Illinois

I know hardly important but interesting none-the-less. Just remember in years:

JFK - 1960 - 1963
BHO - 2008 - ???? (Hopefully 2012 or 2016)

Maybe the south did rise again.............................
